Break Out! 2023 Preface It is the year 2023, yet Asian female artists find themselves in a strange yet familiar position. On the world stage, looking at metrics such as solo exhibitions in major museums, blue-chip gallery rosters and auction records, we can see that the inclination of opportunities and resources is still towards the other gender. We lack opportunities, and we need to take actions to address these disparities. We still face many of the historical and societal
